Your first paragraph resonates with my peers and I a lot. +1 +2 +1000. I can’t find a good reason to disagree with your comment about resume/cv — although this hasn’t been the case for me. Since I haven’t changed jobs for quite some time my resume’s been 7 years outdated. Instead of updating it, when companies or recruiters poach me I just forward them my portfolio with some additional links, which has no problem getting me to interviews and offers (of course there’s a reason why I haven’t changed jobs for 7 years :P). Given this is a different scenario of others approaching me vs me approaching others — thus I’m sure if I was approaching others for work I might have to brush up my resume.

Also, “learn how to become great at interviewing!”, another great statement!
